In the wake of the drama witnessed in the Senate where Kogi lawmaker, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, protested over seating order while yelling at Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, an old video of similar incident involving Akpabio and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has surfaced online.
As captured in the video shared on X on Thursday, Akpabio, who was then a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) member, had vehemently protested over the change of his seat under the Bukola Saraki-led Senate. Other lawmakers which included Sen. Ali Ndume, were seen appeasing a furious Akpabio who referenced to order 43 of the Senate Standing Rule in defense of his agitation as he pointed towards Saraki. A replica of the incident would ensue yesterday when the Senate changed the seat of Sen. Natasha.
NPO reported that the visibly enraged PDP lawmaker argued with the Senate leadership as captured in a viral video which earlier surfaced on X on Thursday.

Like Akpabio, Natasha refused to comply with the change, accusing the Senate leadership of discrimination as she cited Order 10 of the Senate Standing Rule. Akpabio’s refusal to observe her call for attention, led to her outburst and affront against the Senate President.
“I don’t care if I am silenced. I am not afraid of you. You have denied me my privilege, “Mr. Senate President, I have taken a whole lot from you. I will tell Nigerians how you have discriminated against me, how you have maligned me, how you have jeopardized me with your choice of words.
