Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has broken his silence over the recent communal crisis in Akinlalu, Ife North Local Government Area, as he personally led a high-powered government delegation to the troubled town in a decisive move to restore peace and order.
Visibly concerned by the extent of the unrest, Governor Adeleke assured residents that his administration remains unwavering in its commitment to peace, justice, and the rule of law, stressing that no act of violence or lawlessness will be tolerated under his watch.
Addressing the people during the visit, the Governor declared that a comprehensive investigation had already begun into the root causes of the conflict, warning that any individual or group found culpable will face the full wrath of the law.
“Our duty as a government is to protect lives and property. We are committed to ensuring justice and preventing a recurrence,” he affirmed.
Governor Adeleke emphasized that his administration would continue to prioritize peacebuilding and dialogue-driven conflict resolution, adding that no one, regardless of position or influence, is above the law.

He also called for closer collaboration with security agencies to forestall future crises, while commending their swift intervention that prevented further escalation of the situation.
In his remarks, the Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, Oba Israel Oloyede, expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for his prompt visit and empathetic leadership, describing the intervention as an act of true statesmanship that has rekindled public confidence in government responsiveness.
