As it was written in the holy books, people don’t value those who meant good for their lands. The holy Bible and Qur’an explained how people of Jerusalem underrated and ignored the capacity and spiritual reflection of Jesus Christ, who is also known as Prophet Yisau [A-S-W] by the Muslim brethren. The people of Jerusalem’s ignorance resulted in what became a history today.
Oloye Teslim Kolawole Folarin is a seasoned politician with a wealth of experience in Nigerian politics. He rose to prominence at 39, becoming the Senate leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where he significantly impacted national development. His dedication to Oyo State and Nigeria is evident in his various contributions.
At 39 when he became the Senate leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, showcasing impactful leadership that stabilized the country during President Musa Yaradua’s illness and subsequent passing.
Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin is poised to rescue Oyo State, leveraging his remarkable track record as a seasoned politician and dedicated leader. Drawing parallels with the story of Jesus Christ, who was underrated and ignored by his people, Folarin’s journey mirrors this narrative. Despite his impressive credentials and widespread acceptance, he faced challenges in the last gubernatorial election.
Truth to be told, we are all aware of what played out during the last gubernatorial election in Oyo State. Folarin, who was seen campaign within the length and breadth of the State, was generally acceptable by the good people of the state, but enemies within, though, they did their worst, and their worst is what we are all witnessing in the state.
As a former Senate leader, Folarin is a well-known Ibadan Chief, a grassroots politician with a deep understanding of local government functionality and the needs of his people, especially those in local areas. Folarin has initiated various youth empowerment programs, providing employment opportunities and recognizing the importance of prioritizing youth’s needs in policymaking.
He is a businessman, farmer, and consultant. He is well-positioned to attract realistic investors to Oyo State, driving tangible and positive changes. He is being touted as a potential saviour for Oyo State.
What we did yesterday make an history today, Folarin’s commitments during his rein as Senator brought numerous achievements which includes crucial bills, including the Federal University (Special) Oyo Town, Oyo State (Est.etc) bill and Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (Amendment) bill.
Also, He raised a motion to address pressing issues, such as reducing highway accidents and upgrading Ibadan Airport to an international airport.
Aside from legislative functions, Folarin facilitated countless infrastructural development to the Pacesetter state, including the construction of classrooms, ICT centres, and boreholes across Oyo State. He provided employment opportunities through various government agencies and programs, including Npower Recruitment and Nigeria Airforce
Folarin never missed any opportunities. He supplied grain grinding machines, farm inputs, and agro-chemicals to Oyo State farmers. Distributed COVID-19 relief materials, including cash and food items to vulnerable populations during that challenging period.
He is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content, a member of several committees, including National Intelligence, INEC, and Inter-parliamentary while at Senate.
