FLASH: Ibrahim Chatta lost Godson, not Biological Son

Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has cleared the air regarding the recent reports on the death of actor Ibrahim Chatta’s son.

The confusion began after Ibrahim Chatta shared an emotional post on Instagram, announcing the painful loss of someone dear to him, describing him as his son. Many assumed he was referring to his biological son, which led to an outpour of condolences from colleagues and fans.

Among those who sympathised with him was Opeyemi Aiyeola, who in an earlier post encouraged the actor to stay strong and prayed for Allah’s comfort for him and his family.

However, in a fresh statement, Opeyemi clarified that Chatta did not lose his biological son but rather his godson, who was also like a son to him. She admitted that it had been an emotional period for all involved and prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.

“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she wrote.
