FG Approves Recruitment of 30,000 Police Officers to Strengthen Security
The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the federal government’s approval to recruit 30,000 additional youths into the Nigeria Police Force in 2025.
Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid Malam Madori, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs and representative of Jigawa North East, disclosed the development during a media briefing. He said the Police Service Commission has received the green light to proceed with the recruitment to address the current manpower shortage in the Force.
According to Senator Madori, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized the commission to carry out similar recruitment exercises annually to strengthen national security efforts.
He further mentioned that details of the recruitment process will be made public through national newspapers and cautioned Nigerians to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters posing as recruitment agents.
