The Oyo State Amotekun Corps is gearing up for the festive period, with Corps Commandant Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (Rtd) charging operatives to maintain professionalism in their duties.
In a meeting with local government coordinators and executives on Wednesday December 11th, 2024 at the state headquarters Conpole-Moniya in Ibadan, Col. Olayanju emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors during this time.
To achieve this, the Amotekun Corps has deployed operatives to various points across the state, with a focus on providing adequate security for lives and properties. Col. Olayanju assured the public that the operatives will be visible in all areas, working to prevent crimes and maintain peace.

The Amotekun Corps has also been commended by residents for its efforts in tackling insecurity in the state. Governor Seyi Makinde has been praised for providing support to the corps, which has enabled it to carry out its duties effectively.
