...No Sitting in Ido LG yesterday, House Majority Leader, Hon AZ Says
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon Sheriff Adeojo as reacted to the news flaunt from some online media platforms dated Thursday 21th September, 2023 indicating that he was suspended from office by legislators in the local government.
While reacting to the rumor, Adeojo confirmed to Egalitarian Voice News that he was never suspended, stating there was never a plenary session by the legislators both in and out of the local government premises.
He decried the constant media attack on his personality, urging the mischievous elements who are after him to sheathe their swords and let peace reign in the Council.
Continuing, the Chairman urged his perceived foes, who could not clinch the Chairmanship ticket, to desist from maligning his image but rather embrace peace and work with him to move the local government forward.
He then maintained that the allegations leveled against him are still being investigated by the Legislative Arm of the Council and it was wrong for the councilors to suspend him on a matter that is yet to be decided upon.

“On financial misappropriation, all necessary reports have been submitted to the Legislative Arm of the Council for due scrutiny, and awaiting a report on that. We submitted to the legislative arm of the council, and they further asked for a detailed one, which had been long prepared for them for their next sitting which was not held on Thursday as some enemies of progress stated.
“They demanded income and expenditure for both Ido LG and Omi Apata LCDA. So, as such, the councillors cannot suspend me on a report yet to be decided on.
“The allegations are fiction from the aggrieved who are yet to get over from ticket loss. The allegations of misconduct, and financial misappropriation against me are nothing but lies and cannot stand,” He affirmed.
Adeojo, however, implored the general public to disregard any report referring to an action that never took place as there was never a sitting of the councilors on Thursday 21th September, 2023 and all allegations leveled against him are unwarranted and purported lies from the aggrieved beings interested in his position. He therefore charges Ido LG residents to beware of fake news and remain focus to enjoy more dividends of democracy throughout the local government areas.
The house majority leader, Honourable Yahaya Abdulazeez(AZ) and some councillors also confirmed to this media outfit that no Sitting by the honourable members of Ido Local Government yesterday Thursday 21th September, 2023 although the leader of the house tried his best to get the mace by all means in order to carry out his unprofitable agenda but all his efforts vain woefully because no sitting was able to hold.
“Let the general public debunked the circulating fake news from the pit of haters”, Hon Yahaya stated.
