The greeting came shortly after Saudi Arabia confirmed the sighting of the Shawwal Crescent moon, declaring Sunday, 30th March 2025, as Eid day.
As Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, the NYC Oyo State Chapter prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity for the Muslim community in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“We felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on this joyous occasion,” said Segun Akinlabi. “We pray that the lessons learned during Ramadan – compassion, selflessness, and devotion – will continue to guide us throughout the year.”
The NYC Oyo State Chapter also prayed for the leadership of Oyo State and Nigeria, asking for divine guidance and wisdom to steer the country towards progress and development.
“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, we remember the importance of unity, love, and kindness,” added Akinlabi. “We urge all Nigerians to embrace these values and work towards a brighter future for our great nation.”
