As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close and Muslims worldwide join in the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, Hon. Olaleye Olusegun Thomas (SOT), a respected grassroots leader and advocate for inclusive governance, has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim community across Afijio Local Government.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the politician, Hon. SOT rejoiced with the faithful on the successful completion of the 30-day spiritual exercise, describing it as a testament to their devotion and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
He prayed that the supplications, sacrifices, and acts of charity offered during the sacred month be accepted as a fragrant offering before Allah, and that the blessings of the season translate into renewed strength, divine guidance, and prosperity for all.
“Eid-el-Fitr is not merely a celebration; it is a spiritual milestone that reminds us of the virtues of patience, self-denial, and compassion for the less privileged. As we rejoice today, let us carry these lessons into our daily lives and interactions with one another,” Hon. SOT remarked.
The grassroots stalwart further urged the people of Afijio to use the occasion to deepen the bonds of brotherhood, foster peaceful coexistence, and extend a hand of generosity to those in need, regardless of faith or political affiliation.
“This season calls for love, gratitude, and unity. Let us continue to build bridges of understanding and work together for the peace and progress of our beloved Afijio Local Government. A united community is the foundation upon which lasting development is built,” he added.
Hon. Olaleye Olusegun Thomas (SOT) concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful in Afijio and beyond a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually rewarding Eid celebration.
