Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi Aliyu (BASA), a leading political figure and Governorship Aspirant in Oyo State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr.
In a statement personally signed on Friday, BASA described the Eid celebration as a profound spiritual milestone that reinforces the enduring values of faith, discipline, sacrifice, and compassion.
“Eid-al-Fitr represents a time of deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for the strength to complete the holy month of Ramadan. It is also a moment to reflect on the virtues of selflessness, patience, and unity that are essential for building a peaceful and progressive society,” she stated.
BASA called on the people of Oyo State to embrace the spirit of the season by fostering harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect across religious and ethnic lines.
“At a time when our state and nation require healing and renewed direction, I urge all citizens to uphold the principles of unity, peaceful coexistence, and shared responsibility for the common good,” she added.
She further prayed for divine acceptance of the عبادات (acts of worship) observed during Ramadan and for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity in Oyo State and Nigeria.
Reiterating her vision for the state, BASA assured the people of her unwavering commitment to people-oriented leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
“I remain resolute in my commitment to a better Oyo State—one driven by equity, opportunity, and purposeful leadership. With the continued prayers and support of our people, we can collectively chart a new course for progress and prosperity,” she affirmed.
She concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and blessed Eid celebration.
