Does 2,600 Farmers Really Benefits From Oyo SAfER Farmers Loan as Claimed By Makinde Administration
Over 2,600 crop and livestock farmers in the State have become beneficiaries of the more than 763 million naira soft loans disbursed by the State Government under the SAfER initiative.
Chairman, Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCOS), Sheik Taofeek AkewugbagoldSheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold made this known while featuring on the BCOS Oluyole 98.5FM Yoruba interview programme, Oro to nlo.
He explained that the farmers have received loan disbursements in the first, second and third phase.
The Chairman added that the disbursement process is being carried out at registered micro-finance banks across the geo political zones of the State.

According to ACCOS chairman, the disbursement of the loans is anchored by Bank of Agriculture (BoI), Ibadan and microfinance banks across the state.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold has warned those whom he labelled ‘political farmers’ to steer clear of the loan scheme as it was not national cake.
