The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said the crisis rocking the opposition party would soon be over.
Naija News recalls that Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his allies have been at loggerheads with PDP leadership since the conduct of the party’s presidential primaries months ago.
The G5 governors now known as the Integrity Group are demanding the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and his successor to be from the Southern region, among other things.
Speaking to reporters in Lagos on Saturday, Atiku disclosed that dialogue with PDP G5 governors and some other aggrieved stalwarts was in progress.
The former Vice President said he was very optimistic that the aggrieved governors would work for his success in the 2023 presidential primary election.
The PDP presidential candidate said these after his roundtable discussion with Nigeria’s creative cultural and innovative experts.
During his discussion at the event, Atiku pledged to support the industry with necessary incentives, if elected into power in the 2023 general election.
According to him, the industry has what it takes to crash the unemployment rate and generate huge revenue for the country if it got the necessary support.
He said the industry is like agriculture in terms of job creation and revenue generation but it has not gotten the necessary support from the government, which he noted has made it difficult to progress.
