Developing: SHABA Opened New Market At Ogbere Tioya Border With Wells And Two Blocks Of 3 Units Toilet Facilities
Hon. Sanusi Musibau Adesina, popularly called SHABA yesterday recorded another remarkable feat, as new Market is officially Opened and Handed over, though not planned, because the initial plan was to meet with the market men and women, prepare them and intimate them for proper handling over. But the anticipated traders cannot wait till other time, clamoring for opening of the market, as they are all in common attire meant for the celebration. They all gave the Chairman and Party Leaders a rousing welcome, unknown to the chairman, the market had been named as SHABA IRORUN DE MARKET.
The market, which is an initiative of the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara LGA, Hon. Sanusi SHABA, according to the council boss, the market initiative had been part of his plans, even before the construction work started at the Ogbere Tio ya box culvert, this is to cater for market men and women as well as traders, most especially after the road construction work.
The market which comprises of butcher’s place, where cow are being slaughter before marketing.
The council boss while meeting with the market men and women yesterday before handling the toilet facilities to the management of the market, he urged them to continue to support the government in his developmental projects.
He stated that, part of his administration’s plan is to established an ultramodern market at the popular Sawia Market, which will be a major and international standard and efforts are ongoing for it realization.
He mentioned further that, just two days ago, OYO STATE RURAL ACCESS $ AGRICULTURAL MARKETING PROJECT, (RAAMP) team, in Conjunction with WORLD BANK team and Consultant came to Aare Alasa Agbejoda Farmers Market, at Olorunda Ogunsola along Akanran Road, And made the intention of the government known, that the market had been approved and contracted to Betley Adam Nig Limited, and will be upgraded to international standard through provision of amenities and reconstruction.
All these are his efforts.

When responding on behalf of the market men and women, the Babaloja of SHABA IRORUN DE MARKET, Chief Olutayo Olaniyi, expressed their happiness to the administration of Engr. He prayed for the success of his administration.
He also promised to work with others in ensuring functioning of the market and peaceful atmosphere.
