Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price Nationwide [See Price For Each Region]

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a nationwide reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, bringing relief to consumers across Nigeria.

According to a statement released on the refinery’s official social media page, petrol prices will now range between N875 and N905 per litre depending on the region, reflecting a N15 decrease from the previous rates. The new prices apply to all major fuel marketers working in partnership with the refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.

Under the new pricing structure, Lagos residents will pay N875 per litre, down from N890. Prices in the South-West are now N885, while consumers in the North-East, South-South, and South-East regions will pay N905. The North-West and Central zones will see prices set at N895.

The refinery encouraged Nigerians to purchase fuel only from accredited outlets and urged the public to report any non-compliant stations through its official hotlines.

The company stated that its petrol and diesel products are refined to enhance engine performance and meet environmental standards.

This price adjustment comes shortly after the company reinstated a customer refund benefit, part of a broader effort to stabilize fuel prices despite global market volatility. It follows reports that over 496 million litres of petrol were recently imported by independent oil marketers, signaling increased competition in the sector.

The company attributed the reduction to a naira-for-crude deal, which has helped cut production costs and allowed for lower pump prices. It assured Nigerians that it remains committed to price stability regardless of fluctuations in the international crude oil market.

A statement signed by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, emphasized that the move demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian economy and easing the financial burden on consumers.
