Crime Free: Oyo Amotekun Distributes More Operational Vehicles To All LGs

As part of measures to stem up the security of lives and property in Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde with the support of the Amotekun Board has made provision of one hundred operational vehicles for the corps.
In his welcome address, the Oyo State Board Chairman of Amotekun Corps, Retired General Ajibola Kunle Togun, appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his pro activeness in combating crime in Oyo State as a whole, he also appreciated the Local Government Chairmen for their unrelenting supports in ensuring that this project is actualized.

The Chairman also spoke on the improving relationship between the Amotekun corp and other security agencies, although he said there’s room for improvement.
While speaking with the pressmen, the State Commandant of the corps, Col. Olayinka Bisiriyu Olayanju, further urged residents to follow the steps of Governor Seyi Makinde as this is the only way security of lives and property can be improved upon. He also use the medium to appreciate all amotekun Operatives for the job well done so far and charges them not to relent in the discharge of their duty.

The vehicles have been distributed to various Local Governments in Oyo State to tighten the Security in various local Government.
Some of the dignitaries that grace the event that take place at the Amotekun headquarters Moniya in Ibadan were stakeholders from the State Government, The Commissioner for Local Government And Chieftaincy, Barr. Bayo Lawal, Local Government chairmen across the state among many others.
