As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate Children’s Day 2025, Oyo State gubernatorial hopeful, Hon. Bolanle Sarumi-A.A, popularly known as BASA, has extended warm greetings to children in Oyo State, across Nigeria, and around the world.
In a statement made during a chat with Egalitarian Voice correspondent, Wisdom Oluwadarasimi, on Tuesday morning, BASA offered heartfelt prayers for divine protection and guidance for all children, emphasizing their importance in the nation’s future.
“I felicitate with Nigerian children, especially those in Oyo State and around the globe, on this auspicious occasion of the 2025 Children’s Day celebration. It is a day dedicated to honouring our children — the pride and promise of every nation,” she said.
BASA encouraged children to be of good conduct, urging them to shun negative influences and serve as proud ambassadors of their families and communities. She also emphasized the critical role of parental guidance in shaping the destiny of children.
“Every child deserves the best from their parents and from the country they belong to. As parents, we must provide the right training at every stage of our children’s lives,” she stated.
The gubernatorial aspirant further charged both government and parents to work collaboratively to build an environment where children can thrive, learn, and grow into responsible leaders.
“It is my prayer that all our children grow to become greater than us,” BASA concluded.
