CDCFIB Releases Important Update On Civil Defence, Immigration, Prison, Fire Service 2025 Recruitment
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced a one-week extension for its ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise into the paramilitary services under its supervision.
This update was made public through a statement issued on Sunday, August 3rd, by the Secretary to the Board, Major General (Rtd) A.M. Jibril. According to the statement, the recruitment portal—initially set to close on Monday, 4th August 2025—will now remain open until Monday, 11th August 2025.
Egalitarian Voice reports that the decision to extend the application deadline is aimed at allowing more qualified Nigerians the opportunity to apply for available positions within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
“The Board wishes to notify the general public that the closing date for application for its ongoing recruitment exercise has been extended by one week,” the statement reads.
“This extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the paramilitary services as well as the Board.”

Applicants are advised to complete their applications before the new closing date and ensure all requirements are met to avoid disqualification.
