Akande, who visited the site with stakeholders including the Ona Ara Local Government Chair, Council Secretary, Supervisor for Works, Chief of Staff, and others, stressed that conducting integrity tests, marking vulnerable buildings, and enhancing physical planning are crucial steps.
“Regular integrity tests will identify buildings that require structural assessments, ensuring they’re safe for occupation,” Akande explained. “Marking vulnerable buildings will prevent people from using them, and strengthening physical planning will enforce building regulations.”
