BREAKING: Top Politician Dumps Labour Party For APC With Strong Reason (NAME &PHOTO)
Tawfiq Akinwale, who was the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the Oyo State governorship election in March 2023, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement released on Sunday night, Akinwale stated that he made this decision after carefully assessing the political environment. He observed that the LP’s leadership lacked the necessary vision, direction, and cohesion required to bring about significant transformation in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Akinwale expressed his belief that aligning with the APC would provide an ideal platform to effectively address the challenges facing Oyo State as an opposition and to champion a progressive agenda for the betterment of its citizens.
He acknowledged the earnest desire of the people of Oyo State for positive change and meaningful development during his campaign. However, he came to the conclusion that such change could not be effectively achieved under the current leadership of the Labour Party in the State.
By joining the APC, Akinwale sees an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who are passionate about Oyo State’s development and work towards achieving the aspirations and dreams of the people.
Akinwale emphasized his commitment to advocating for policies and programs aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and job creation in Oyo State. He expressed readiness to contribute positively to the progress of the APC and Oyo State as a whole.
He concluded his statement by inviting all well-meaning citizens to support this important step towards a brighter future for Oyo State, emphasizing his dedication to the well-being of the people and his vision for progress, unity, and development in the state.
