Deputy National Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka has resigned to take appointment as Commissioner in Governor Bala Mohammed administration in of Bauchi State.
The resignation was contained in a letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the Party, Ambassador Iliya Damagun.
In the letter, a copy of which was made available to newsmen, Wanka said her resignation was necessitated due to the opportunity given to her by Governor Bala Mohammed to serve as Commissioner in the Bauchi State Executive Council.
Hajiya Wanka expressed her gratitude to the National leadership of PDP for the rare privilege accorded her to served as Deputy National Woman Leader of the party.
She equally thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for finding her worthy to serve in his cabinet.
Hajiya Wanka said the experience she got while serving in that capacity cannot be quantified, pointing out that, it would assist immensely in her new area of assignment as Commissioner.

To that regard, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Hajara Wanka on her appointment by the Bauchi State Governor.
The congratulatory message was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen on Monday 7th August, 2023 by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the Party’s National Publicity Secretary.
The NWC said Wanka’s appointment as Commissioner is a recognition of her selfless service, deep intellect, competence, administrative skills and patriotic roles towards the development of PDP, Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole.
The National body of the PDP commended Governor Bala Mohammed for the appointment, noting that such move reinforces his recognition of merit in choosing the best hands always to assist him in the administration of Bauchi State.
