BREAKING: Oyo Amotekun rescued 4 kidnapped Victims
In a daring operation, the Oyo State Amotekun Corps, in collaboration with local hunters, has rescued the Baale of Alagede, his two wives, and two sons. They were kidnapped earlier today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at their residence in Alagede village, near Kola Daisi University, Akinyele, Ibadan at about 01:00hrs.
The rescue operation took place in the forest of Ojutaye, along Oretu Road. Unfortunately, one of the brave hunters from Oretu village, Ojo, lost his life during the operation. Efforts are underway to evacuate his body for burial, Egalitarian Voice reports.
As at the time of filling this report, the police Anti Kidnapping Squad (AKS) team forcefully collected the victims from Amotekun team tasked to evacuate the victims to safety.

Currently, one of the brave hunters from ORETU village operating alongside Amotekun in the forest named OJO paid the supreme sacrifice. Efforts is on going to evacuate his corpse for burial.
One of the kidnapper apprehended during gun battle name Sanni, he is a farmer in Agede village and have shop at Alata Akinyele market.
Meanwhile, men of Oyo Amotekun and local hunters are still in the bush where they have successfully holed the kidnappers to a particular area.
