The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is set to host the upcoming People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Elective Convention scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Egalitarian Voice reports that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the PDP confirmed the date and venue during a meeting held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The convention will see the election of a new National Working Committee (NWC) to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

Briefing reporters after the NEC meeting, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, revealed that the committee also approved the membership of the national convention committee and the zoning committee, which will oversee the processes to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the exercise.
The Ibadan convention is expected to attract key stakeholders, party leaders, and delegates from across the country as the PDP prepares for its next phase ahead of the 2027 general elections.
