The Coordinator of the BASA Movement in Ona-Ara Local Government, Comrade Osuolale Babatunde Francis, has congratulated the newly inaugurated South-West Zonal Executive of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing their emergence as a major boost to the party’s drive to build a credible and progressive political alternative in Nigeria.

EGALITARIAN VOICE reports that Comrade Osuolale gave the congratulatory message during the ADC South-West stakeholders’ meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State, where the party formally inaugurated its zonal executives and national officers from the region.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the new leadership to deepen grassroots mobilisation, strengthen internal party structures, and promote inclusive, people-oriented governance across the South-West, noting that the development aligns with the political ideals and people-centred vision championed by Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA).

The executives inaugurated at the event include Akinbowale Omole (Ogun State) as National Vice Chairman (South-West); Captain Tunji Shelle as National Director of Communications and Programmes; Prof. Bode Ayorinde (Ondo State) as Diversity and Inclusion Secretary; Fabiyi Oladimeji (Ogun State) as Deputy National Financial Secretary; Alhaja Kafilat Omolabake Olayiwola (Oyo State) as Deputy National Women Leader; Arc. Bashir Aremu Lawal (Oyo State) as Assistant National Secretary; Olufemi Adeleye (Ekiti State) as Deputy Coordinator, Diaspora; Lady Lydia Omarisola Olafunmiloye (Ondo State) as Assistant National Women Leader (Zonal); Mrs. Elizabeth Adeola Olusi (Lagos State) as Assistant National Youth Leader (Zonal); and Mrs. Yidiat Omolara Oseni (Osun State) as Assistant National Organising Secretary.
Comrade Osuolale commended the calibre and diversity of the inaugurated executives, noting that their collective experience and grassroots strength would significantly enhance the ADC’s organisational capacity across Yorubaland.
According to him, the development aligns with the broader vision of inclusive, people-centred, and service-driven politics championed by Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), adding that effective leadership and strategic mobilisation remain critical to repositioning the ADC for future electoral success.
He further urged the new zonal leadership to prioritise discipline, internal democracy, and service to the people, stressing that sustained mobilisation at the ward and local government levels remains critical to the party’s growth and electoral relevance.
