•••• Egalitarian Voice obtains resignation notice

Egalitarian Voice has exclusively obtained a resignation letter confirming that Hon. Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi Aliyu (BASA) has officially exited the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as she declares her intention to contest for the Oyo South Senatorial District seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a significant shift in her political trajectory.
The letter, personally signed by BASA, was addressed to the Ward Chairman of the ADC in Ibadan North Local Government, formally notifying the party of her decision to withdraw her membership today Saturday March 28th, 2026.
While the content of the letter did not extensively detail her next political move, sources close to the development indicate that the resignation is not unconnected to ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

BASA, a former governorship candidate and founder of the BASA Foundation, remains a strong force in grassroots politics, with wide influence across Oyo State.

Egalitarian Voice can authoritatively report that BASA has now aligned with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), specifically within the camp of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. The move, she confirmed, is part of her renewed political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.
