…commends Makinde for reactivation of the Council after over a decade of inactivity

Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi (BASA), Founder of BASA Foundation and a prominent grassroots political leader in Oyo State, heartily congratulates His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on his emergence as the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
BASA describes the appointment as well-deserved and timely, noting that the wealth of experience, wisdom, and statesmanship of the Olubadan will bring renewed strength, unity, and purposeful leadership to the Council, especially at a time when collaboration between government and traditional institutions is crucial for grassroots development and peaceful coexistence.
She also commends the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for the reactivation of the Council after over a decade of inactivity and for the introduction of a rotational chairmanship system, which reflects fairness, inclusiveness, and respect for the diverse traditional institutions across the state.

BASA expresses confidence that under the chairmanship of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs will effectively serve as a bridge between the government and the people, promoting good governance, cultural heritage, and sustainable development across Oyo State.
She prays for wisdom, sound health, and divine guidance for His Imperial Majesty as he undertakes this important responsibility.
