The Chairperson of ATIKULATED GLOBAL MOVEMENT (AGM), former SSA Diaspora in Oyo State Hon (Mrs) Bolanle Sarumi. A. politically known as BASA has commiserated with the victims of Orisunmbare Plank Market in Bodija over the loss of properties and means of livelihood in the recent fire outbreak which occurred on Tuesday evening in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Hon BASA expressed her great shock on receiving the sad and unpleasant news, adding that, it will be a great dilemma to the traders of the market but we should be thankful to the Almighty that no life was lost to the inferno.
According to her “It is so disheartening to hear and see people’s properties and means of livelihood being turned into ashes in his/her presence.

“I vividly remember my many visits to the market during my campaign in 2018, and again in years later to do voters card registrations for some sellers there in 2022. it’s so painful for me to hear this news, it is good we have the people’s Governor in Oyo State. I thank His Excellency for sending in support as soon as the news broke out.”

Hon BASA appreciates the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his quick intervention in visiting and donating relief funds and pallatives to the victims of the inferno.
I urge all the traders to remain calm and be hopeful as I believe that further help will arise for all the victims where they least expect it ,” BASA stated.
Recall, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde visit the scene on Wednesday evening and donate the sum of twenty-five million naira to the victims.
