Babangida’s Son Muhammed Accepts BOA Chairmanship, Debunks Rejection ‘Fake News’

Muhammed Babangida, son of former military president IBB, has officially accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This comes amid false claims circulating online suggesting he declined the offer. In a personally signed statement, Muhammed expressed deep gratitude to the President for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

He described the rumour as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and tarnish the image of the Tinubu administration, assuring Nigerians that those behind the fake news will be exposed and held accountable.

“I have gratefully accepted the appointment and remain committed to transparency, accountability, and national development,” he said.

Muhammed also called on Nigerians to verify news from credible sources and avoid being misled by politically motivated misinformation.
