The need for review of operational activities and re-strategize for enhanced operational efficiency requires effective synergy and collaboration. To attained the above goals, the SW Amotekun Corps Commandants were in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State for a 2days quarterly Security Review Meeting at Ilaji Resorts Akanran – Ibadan. The meeting which started yesterday ended today, Friday, December 6, 2024 with a visit to HE, Governor Seyi Makinde FNSE in his office at Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan. The objective of the visit was to debrief Governor Makinde on successes recorded and highlight some identified challenges.
In attendance at the meeting were the 5 SW states Corps Commandant from Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti and their host from Oyo state. They were led by Rtd DCG Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant Ondo Amotekun who doubled as the forums Chairman on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde at the Governors Office,this afternoon in Ibadan.

The closedoor meeting focused on evaluating efforts at tackling crime since the beginning of the year and laying strategies for enhanced security of South West region and Nigeria at large.
While addressing pressmen at the event, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye said the security of the South West region and Nigeria as a whole is of utmost concern and as such it must be prioritised particularly with the coming yuletide season. Hence, the importance of the meeting and the courtesy visit to the Governor. with the hope that all efforts put in place will lead to a fruitful outcome. He explained that the message being sent out is that Amotekun is working together to achieve improve operational efficiency in tackling crime.

The Ondo State Commandant while extending his gratitude to God Almighty, thanked Governor Seyi Makinde, other SW governors and the entire general public for their commitment, genuine love and support for Amotekun as a security outfit.. He further assurred law abiding citizens to go about the economic livelihood without fear as efforts to secure the region before and after New Year are firmly in place by Amotekun in collaboration with sister security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property in Southwest.
