The Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps has dismissed two operatives for varied act of gross indiscipline.
The two operatives were found guilty of the offences committed which led to their summarily dismissal from the Agency on Friday November 29, 2024, at the Corps Operational Base in Ibadan.
Below is the summary of Statement of Offences committed by the Dismissed operatives:
1. Fakunle Akinleye with Amo Number 40209 serving in Ibadan North East Local Government Command since November, 2020 was found guilty of illegal sales of live cartridges to an armed robbery gang who were caught while engaging in car snatching on the highway. Fakunle was dismissed from Oyo Amotekun and handed over to Nigerian Police, CP monitoring unit for prosecution.

The accused confessed and named his accomplish in the crime. Both of them were handed over to the Police for further action.
2. Mudasiru Wasiu Akinola with Amo Number 29155 serving in Ido Local Government Command since November, 2020 was found guilty of Stealing of Goats and selling them. He confessed that this is not his first time of engaging in such criminal acts. He was also dismissed and handed over to the Ido Police division for further action.
According to the Commandant of Amotekun in Oyo State, Rtd. Col. Olayinka Olayanju, both Fakunle Akinleye and Mudasiru Wasiu Akinola were found guilty of criminal acts that could bring the image of the Corps into disrepute contrary to the Corps Standing Rules and protocol. He stated that the operatives were involved in criminal acts that amount to gross indiscipline and consequently they were dismissed from the corps and handed over to the Police for prosecution.
This decision underscores the resolve of the Agency to ensure that erring members who indulge in criminal activities are not spared. The Amotekun Corps is committed to maintaining the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and integrity in the discharge of their duties . The Commandant stated that the Agency will not condone any behavior that falls short of these expectations.
