Veteran broadcaster Ajibola Akinyefa has opened up in a revealing interview following his recent move to Iri FM 96.1 Ibadan. In the emotional and candid conversation, Akinyefa not only reflected on his long-standing media journey from Lagelu FM to Agidigbo FM back to Lagelu FM to Ilaji FM and now in Iri FM but also made a shocking statement about renowned business magnate and philanthropist, Chief Dotun Sanusi, as well as his former station, Ilaji FM.
Akinyefa, who previously held a key leadership position at Ilaji FM, shared the circumstances under which he was entrusted with the station’s operations. He expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity, but also hinted at behind-the-scenes challenges that were previously unknown to the public.
“I was handed Ilaji FM with great trust and expectations,” Akinyefa said, “but not everything glittered as it seemed. Chief Dotun Sanusi is a very good man and it’s my prayer that Almighty God will continue to be with him”. He continued by making a surprising remark about Chief Dotun Sanusi, noting that while the Chief is widely respected, there were moments during his tenure that tested both loyalty and leadership.

Without divulging too many specifics, Akinyefa suggested that there were internal dynamics and decisions at Ilaji FM that ultimately shaped his exit.
