The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has assured churches and Nigerians that the nation will soon overcome its security challenges, declaring that “the church will laugh last.”

Pastor Adeboye gave the assurance on Sunday during his sermon titled “The Master Builder” at RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service, broadcast live and monitored by our correspondent.
Addressing the congregation, the revered cleric urged Nigerians to remain calm, stressing that evil will not triumph over the nation.
According to him, the current wave of insecurity ravaging various parts of the country is a reminder that only God can truly protect His church.
Churches in Nigeria have suffered several violent attacks in recent years — including armed invasions, kidnappings, ransom demands, and killings — leaving many worshippers fearful during gatherings.
But Adeboye expressed confidence that divine intervention is imminent.
“We can pull down. When God opens a door, nobody can shut it,” he said.
“It’s when God shuts a door that nobody can open it. So, I have good news for you, my children, once again: Put your mind at rest. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Whether the devil likes it or not, the church is going to laugh last.”
He explained that God’s role as the master builder extends beyond the church, noting that He is also committed to building and transforming individual lives.
The GO further described God as both a master builder and an architect who shapes destinies, futures, and the course of human life.
