JUST IN: Fresh Trouble For Customs As FG Opens Fresh Paramilitary Recruitment Portal, Orders Suspension Of Training Over Recruitment Scandal

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its recruitment portal will open on October 28 and close on November 13, 2025.
The Secretary of the Board, Major General Abdul Malik Jibril (retd.), disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja. He also directed candidates who had reached the oral stage of the recruitment process to check their status and undergo a mandatory drug test with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in their respective states.
According to him, the drug test will be conducted free of charge.

Meanwhile, the Federal Character Commission (FCC) has called on the Nigeria Customs Service to suspend its ongoing training exercise for newly recruited officers pending investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
The FCC said the directive followed reports that hundreds of candidates whose names appeared on the published final list and who had completed screening, documentation and medical examinations were not invited for the training exercise.
