During the programme, participants were introduced to the principles of biogas production and the preparation of organic manure from food leftovers and other organic materials. The training demonstrated how effective waste management could support agricultural productivity, reduce environmental pollution and create opportunities for small-scale businesses at the grassroots.
Speaking about the programme, Tijani emphasised the importance of knowledge, creativity and innovation in addressing economic challenges and empowering individuals to become productive. He said, “In a place where we have economically lost figures, only knowledge can figure things out. We are creating an innovative, impactful, and creative world. Join the race today.”
Participants reportedly expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the training had broadened their understanding of waste management and introduced them to practical skills they could apply in their homes, farms and businesses. The programme also encouraged residents, particularly young people, to explore opportunities in waste recycling, organic manure production and other environmentally sustainable ventures.
