•• Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West Education Reform Is My Priority — Hon Afolabi Idris (ALOMA)

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives in Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Idris Olanrewaju (ALOMA), has extended warm greetings to teachers across Oyo State, particularly those in Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West Local Government Areas, on the occasion of this year’s Teachers’ Day.
ALOMA, in a goodwill message signed on Monday, October 5, 2026, described teachers as “the architects of our future,” noting that their contributions to education, human capital development and nation-building remain invaluable.

He commended teachers for their dedication, resilience and sacrifices in nurturing young minds and preparing them for the responsibilities of the future, despite the numerous challenges confronting the education sector.
According to him, virtually every professional, leader and accomplished individual in society has benefited from the knowledge, guidance and mentorship of a teacher.
ALOMA stressed the importance of prioritising teachers’ welfare, professional development, quality education and improved learning environments, saying meaningful investment in education is essential to achieving sustainable development.

He further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that will strengthen education and improve opportunities for both teachers and students across Oyo Federal Constituency.
The PDP candidate said teachers should not only be celebrated on Teachers’ Day but should consistently receive the recognition, respect and support necessary for them to effectively perform their roles.
He appreciated teachers across Oyo State for their continued service and dedication, particularly those working within the four local government areas that make up Oyo Federal Constituency.
ALOMA wished all teachers a Happy Teachers’ Day, praying for renewed strength, greater fulfilment and reward for their contributions to society.

“Investing in our teachers is investing in the future of our children, our communities and our nation,” he said.
