Oyo: Governor Seyi Makinde Announces Fresh Appointments (Full List)

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members to the Oyo State Advisory Council, chaired by legal luminary, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN.
The newly appointed members of the council are Engr. Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Bankole.
In a related development, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board. The appointment was contained in letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.
The governor also approved the reassignment of three officials to new positions within the state government. Mrs. Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, formerly a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, is now the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.

Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency. He replaces Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement.

Also, Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, formerly a member of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), has been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
All the appointments take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026. The appointments are part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its various institutions and ensure effective delivery of government responsibilities.
