The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu, popularly known as BASA, has continued her tour across the nine local government areas in the district, with a visit to the three local government areas in Ibarapaland.

During the visit, BASA met with party leaders, executives and supporters, expressing her profound appreciation for their unwavering support and commitment to her senatorial ambition. She noted that her candidacy represents a historic opportunity, particularly as a woman seeking to represent the district at the Senate.
BASA maintained that women, as mothers and caregivers, possess a deep understanding of the needs of the people and are capable of providing effective leadership and representation. She stressed her readiness to serve the people of Oyo South, assuring residents that all residents across her senatorial district would enjoy the true dividends of democracy if she is elected.
As part of her plans for Ibarapaland, the PDP senatorial candidate announced her intention to establish a library in Eruwa to support education and intellectual development in Ibarapa East. She also disclosed plans to introduce a monthly raffle draw through which residents could win household items such as refrigerators and fans.
In a demonstration of her commitment to staying close to the people, BASA promised to build a house in Ibarapaland if elected, noting that she is prepared to live among the people and remain accessible to them. She assured residents that her representation would be people-oriented and focused on addressing their needs.
Also speaking, the PDP candidate for the Ibarapa East State Constituency, Hon. Waheed Adekunle Adenrele, appreciated the people for their support and expressed confidence that, by God’s grace, the party would emerge victorious and have the opportunity to serve the people.
The PDP Chairman in Ibarapa East, Hon. Salam Akeem, commended the candidates for their commitment and vision, urging party members and supporters to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation towards securing victory for the PDP in the forthcoming elections.
