Hon. Adewale Matthew Ayodeji Emerges as Consensus APM Councillorship Candidate for Ona-Ara Ward 09
ONA-ARA, OYO STATE – July 20, 2026
Hon. Adewale Matthew Ayodeji has emerged as the consensus councillorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ward 09, Ona-Ara Local Government Area ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
His emergence was unanimously endorsed on Monday, July 20, 2026, by the elders and stakeholders of the ward after careful deliberations, in recognition of his commitment, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the growth, unity, and progress of the party.
The endorsement team was led by Alhaji Ramoni Bankole, the first Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, with the support of Hon. Abiona Adetunji, the Local Government Assistant Secretary of the party. The team also comprised nine other respected elders whose decision was backed by the recognised leadership of the party in the local government.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, the leaders described Hon. Ayodeji as a loyal, pragmatic, and committed party member whose track record of service and grassroots engagement made him the preferred consensus choice to represent Ward 09.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Adewale Matthew Ayodeji expressed profound appreciation to the party leaders, elders, executives, and members for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to justify the trust by providing quality representation, strengthening the party at the grassroots, and contributing meaningfully to the development of Ward 09 and Ona-Ara Local Government as a whole.
Hon. Ayodeji also expressed gratitude to Engr. Seyi Makinde and Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan for their leadership and encouragement. He further pledged to mobilise massive support for the victory of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and all candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the forthcoming elections.
The event concluded with prayers and renewed commitment from party leaders and members to work together towards ensuring APM’s success at the polls.
