GLORIOUS COMMENDS GOVERNOR MAKINDE ON SAFE RESCUE OF ORIIRE PUPILS AND TEACHERS

The Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious, has expressed profound relief and heartfelt appreciation following the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils of Ahoro Esiele, Oriire Local Government, who were recently abducted by kidnappers.
Dr. Glorious lauded the prompt and strategic response of the Oyo State Government under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, describing the rescue operation as another clear demonstration of the Governor’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of all residents of the state.


He noted that the successful operation reflects the effectiveness of the state’s security architecture, strengthened inter-agency collaboration, and the Governor’s sustained investment in measures aimed at tackling insecurity and protecting vulnerable communities.
“The safe return of these innocent pupils and their teachers is a moment of great relief and hope. It reaffirms the government’s resolve that no effort will be spared in protecting our people and confronting criminal elements. We deeply appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for his steadfast leadership and commitment to the security and well-being of every citizen of Oyo State,” the Chairman stated.
Dr. Glorious also commended the security agencies for their courage, professionalism, and unwavering dedication throughout the rescue mission. He acknowledged their sacrifices and reaffirmed the government’s support for their continued efforts to rid the state of criminal activities.
Reiterating the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining peace and security, the Council Chairman urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely, accurate, and credible information that will aid crime prevention and response.
While rejoicing with the rescued victims, their families, and the people of Oriire Local Government, Dr. Glorious prayed for the victims’ speedy physical, emotional, and psychological recovery, expressing hope that they would soon return to their normal lives.
