16 Days in Captivity: PDP Reps Candidate for Ibadan North East/South East Constituency, Hon. Adejoke (AAA), Renews Solidarity with Victims’ Families, Demands Safe Return

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye, PhD, popularly known as AAA, has renewed her solidarity with the families of the abducted students and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, as the victims mark 16 days in captivity.

In a statement made available to the public on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Hon. Adejoke expressed deep concern over the prolonged ordeal of the victims and the emotional trauma being experienced by their families, loved ones, and the affected communities.

She described the situation as heartbreaking and called for intensified efforts by relevant security agencies and government authorities to secure the safe and unconditional release of the abducted students and teachers.

According to her, every passing day in captivity increases the pain and uncertainty faced by the families, stressing that the welfare and safety of the victims must remain a top priority for all stakeholders involved in the rescue efforts.

Hon. Adejoke urged residents of Oyo State and Nigerians at large to continue offering prayers and support to the affected families while expressing confidence that the victims would return home safely.

The PDP chieftain also commended individuals, organisations, and security personnel working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the release of the abductees, urging them not to relent until the victims regain their freedom.

“As we mark 16 days since this unfortunate incident occurred, my thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their families. I stand in solidarity with them and join millions of well-meaning Nigerians in demanding the safe return of every student and teacher still in captivity,” she stated.

Hon. Adejoke reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for the security, welfare, and protection of citizens, emphasizing that no family should have to endure the pain and uncertainty surrounding the fate of their loved ones.

She concluded by praying for the safe return of all the abducted students and teachers, as well as lasting peace and security across Oyo State and Nigeria.
