In a move aimed at strengthening youth engagement with traditional institutions, the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Ogbomoso Zone coordinators, paid a courtesy visit to the Olopete of Opete, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bamigboye Samuel Toyin.

The royal father gave the delegation a warm and gracious reception, while members of the council of elders expressed genuine delight at the visit, describing it as a commendable step towards community-driven youth development. The atmosphere during the meeting reflected unity, respect, and a shared vision for progress.
Speaking during the engagement, Kabiyesi Oba Bamigboye Samuel Toyin commended the Congress for its proactive leadership and youth-focused mission, while expressing his willingness to host the state leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress for broader discussions on collaboration opportunities that will benefit the youth and the larger community.

The Ogbomoso Zone coordinators noted that the visit forms part of their ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships with traditional rulers, promote youth inclusion in community affairs, and create sustainable avenues for development across the zone and Oyo State as a whole.

The visit further underscores the importance of synergy between youth-led organisations and revered traditional institutions in driving peace, development, and meaningful social impact.
