JUST IN: Nine Senators Officially Defect to ADC (Full List)

Nine members of the Nigerian Senate on Thursday announced their defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The senators are Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Eyinnaya Abaribe (Abia), Binos Yaroe (Adamawa), Victor Umeh (Anambra), Tony Nwonye (Anambra), Lawal Usman (Kaduna), Ogoshi Onawo (Nasarawa), Augustine Akobundu (Abia) and Ireti Kingibe (Federal Capital Territory).

Their letters of defection, addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, were read during plenary.

No further details were provided on the reasons for their move at the time of the announcement.
