Who Will Wike Support? Minister Finally Opens Up on FCT Election

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will support only candidates who align with President Bola Tinubu’s agenda in the forthcoming FCT Area Councils election scheduled for February 21, Egalitarian Voice reports.

Wike made the statement on Saturday night in Abuja during the 60th birthday celebration of Senator Sandy Onor.

Addressing guests at the event, the minister reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Tinubu, stating that he would back candidates who share the President’s vision, irrespective of their political affiliation. He further emphasized that he would work to ensure that aspirants who do not support the President’s agenda do not emerge victorious, stressing that he has no regrets about his stance.

He traced Onor’s journey from academia at the University of Calabar to the Nigerian Senate and active politics in Cross River State, describing it as a life devoted to scholarship, leadership, and public service.
