In a demonstration of exemplary leadership and humanitarian commitment, the Special Assistant on “Special duties” to the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon Luqman Abdulfatai Adekunle, has begun a monthly financial empowerment scheme for party members in Ward 7.
The gesture was unveiled today, February 11th, 2026, at Elekuro High School, Owode, during the Ward’s general meeting. Beneficiaries were drawn from Zone One to Zone Five, which make up the entire Ward 7.
Speaking at the event, Hon Adekunle Luqman reaffirmed his dedication to the welfare of party faithfuls, announcing that the financial assistance would be sustained on a monthly basis.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Alfa Kehinde Adeyemo, who was present at the event, showered encomiums on Hon Luqman Abdulfatai Adekunle for his kind-heartedness and loyalty to the party.
In his remarks, Alfa Adeyemo described the gesture as unprecedented and worthy of emulation.
“This is not just politics; this is pure humanity. Hon Adekunle Luqman has shown that he truly cares for the grassroots. His monthly support will go a long way in easing the burdens of our party members. We are proud of him, and we pray that God continues to elevate him,” Adeyemo said.
The beneficiaries, visibly overwhelmed with joy, expressed their gratitude and prayed for continued blessings and political upliftment for the young leader.
