Hon Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA) has joined the government and good people of Oyo State in celebrating the state’s 50 years of existence, describing the Golden Jubilee as a significant milestone that reflects resilience, unity, and steady progress.

BASA noted that the creation of Oyo State in 1976 marked the beginning of a purposeful journey anchored on cultural heritage, communal strength, and a shared aspiration for development. According to her, the 50th anniversary offers a moment for sober reflection on the sacrifices of past leaders and citizens whose contributions laid the foundation for today’s achievements.
She commended the people of the state for their perseverance and commitment to peace and progress, stressing that Oyo’s strength lies in its vibrant grassroots, hardworking youths, resilient women, and visionary leadership.
BASA further urged residents to use the Golden Jubilee celebration as a renewed call to unity, inclusive governance, and collective responsibility toward building a more prosperous Oyo State for future generations.
She wished the government and people of Oyo State a memorable and impactful 50th anniversary celebration, praying for sustained peace, progress, and development across all zones of the state.
