Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former Governor of Nasarawa State and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The veteran politician completed his defection by collecting his ADC membership card in his local government area of Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Senator Adamu, a former Minister of State for Works and Housing, is also a Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN). His move to the ADC is seen as a significant political development, given his long-standing influence in national politics and party administration.
Political observers note that the entry of Senator Adamu into the ADC further strengthens the party’s profile as a growing platform attracting experienced leaders and key stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
