All roads lead to Ilaji Resort, Akanran, Ibadan today, Thursday, 9th October 2025, as the Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), Ona-Ara Local Government Chapter, in collaboration with the Igbimo Agbasaga Cultural Global Foundation, hosts its much-anticipated 3-in-1 Cultural Fiesta.
The all-encompassing event, which begins at 10:00AM, will feature the Ona-Ara Beauty Pageant (2nd Edition), the Gbagède Àṣà 2.0 Cultural Display, and an Award Presentation Ceremony to honour distinguished individuals who have contributed immensely to culture, youth development, and community growth.
The convener and Queen Mother of the event, Obabirin Eniola Olajumoke Oloyede (First Lady, YYC Ona-Ara Chapter), described the 3-in-1 programme as a celebration of Yoruba heritage, intelligence, and youth empowerment.

According to her, “the Ona-Ara Beauty Pageant and cultural fiesta were designed to project the beauty of our tradition, inspire confidence among the youth, and promote unity within the Ona-Ara community.”
Similarly, the Pageant Director and Queen Mother, Princess Oguntimehin Adeola Ashabi, noted that the event serves as a platform to discover and empower young ambassadors who will uphold cultural values and represent Ona-Ara with pride and excellence.
The pageant, tagged “Ogbéni ati Omidan Ona-Ara”, will see vibrant contestants competing for the titles of Mr. and Miss Ona-Ara 2025, under the keen evaluation of respected judges such as Omoluabi Zainab Popoola, Alatise Ramoh Ajani, Somoryt Lateef Empress, Dare Sevi Timilehin, Ayisat Hamzat Adufe, and Oluwadamilola Nathaniel.
The event is expected to attract cultural enthusiasts, traditional leaders, youth advocates, and community stakeholders from across Oyo State, with side attractions including traditional performances, music, and fashion showcases.
Through this initiative, YYC Ona-Ara continues to affirm its commitment to cultural preservation, youth development, and community pride — reinforcing Ona-Ara’s position as a hub of creativity and cultural excellence in Oyo State.
