The Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Afijio Local Government, Hon. Olaleye Olusegun Thomas (SOT), has commended party leaders and stakeholders in the council area over the successful conduct of the just-concluded Ward and Local Government Congresses of the party.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, shortly after the Afijio Local Government PDP Congress, Hon. SOT praised the peaceful and orderly exercise, which ushered in Chief Tunji Akinade (Jagun) as Chairman, Hon. Paul Ojeniyi as Secretary and other executives.
He applauded the leaders for proving themselves as true democrats by ensuring internal democracy within the party, stressing that the amicable handling of the congresses reflects their commitment to strengthening the PDP in Afijio Local Government.
