Ahead the Saturday, August 16th 2025 Ibadan North Federal Constituency By-election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the restriction of movement in the area from 12 midnight Saturday.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Oyo State, Dr. Tella Adeniran Rahmon who made the announcement during a media briefing today said the restriction will last till 2:30pm when voting would end.

The affected areas are, Sango/Eleyele/ Apete/ljokodo, U.I/ Agbowo/Agbowo Express, Beere/Oje/Odoye, Gate/Basorun/Ashi and Mokola/Adamasingba Axis.
There will also be restriction on movement in the Twelve (12) Registration Areas Wards in Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
Dr. Rahmon encouraged registered voters to come out early to exercise their franchise between 8:30am and 2:30pm on Saturday.
