The Planning Committee for the 2025 International Youth Day of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Oyo State Chapter, met today to finalize preparations for what promises to be one of the most impactful youth gatherings of the year.
In a press statement jointly signed by the Committee Chairman, Comrade Olalere Benedict, and released by the Committee’s Public Relations Officer, Egalitarian Segun Akinlabi, the event slated for Wednesday, August 13, 2025 is set to unite young minds across Oyo State under the banner of innovation, collaboration, and future-focused leadership.
The statement revealed that the programme will feature: Interactive networking sessions with youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators, Workshops and skill-building forums to prepare youths for the 21st-century economy, Panel discussions on career growth, technology, and social impact initiatives, Idea-pitch segments giving young participants a chance to connect with potential mentors and partners.

“This is more than just a celebration, it’s a launchpad for young people to connect, learn, and unlock new opportunities,” the statement read.
The event will hold at the House of Chiefs, Oyo State House of Assembly Complex, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan, and is free and open to all youths in the state.
