In a significant move to promote youth empowerment and inclusive economic growth, the Federal Government of Nigeria has officially launched the YouthCred Loan Programme, an initiative designed to provide young Nigerians with access to credit facilities without collateral or a long credit history.
“Today, CREDICORP and NYSC signed a landmark partnership for YouthCred – credit designed to unlock dignity, opportunity, and a future without limits,” the agency announced via its official social media handle on X (formerly Twitter).
In addition to the credit schemes, the agency also revealed plans to introduce youth-focused events and competitions aimed at rewarding creativity, innovation, and financial discipline among participants.
Eligible Nigerian youths can now visit the official portal — https://www.youthcred.com — to register, check eligibility requirements, and apply for their preferred loan category. The application process is free and entirely online.
The launch of YouthCred marks a strategic step by the Federal Government to support the younger generation with the tools needed to build a stable financial future and contribute meaningfully to national development.
